Context

Joined Imas NV after completing my Graduate Programming internship in 2021.
Grew into a DevOps role between software development, infrastructure and internal platform support.
Work in the internal IT organisation supporting Van Genechten Packaging Group across application platforms, private cloud and factory-related environments.

Focus

Improve the tools, environments and automation used by development and IT teams.
Support Linux, OpenShift, Kubernetes, CEPH and application environments.
Maintain internal tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins, OpenProject and wiki-based documentation.

Selected work

Automated recurring infrastructure and application tasks with Ansible, scripting and CI/CD tooling.
Contributed to environment automation for Fenics-related servers, virtual machines and container platforms.
Worked on Jenkins pipelines, monitoring setup, recovery support and repeatable handover material.
Supported technical troubleshooting for internal IT colleagues and platform-related issues.

Bachelor programme followed through a work-study trajectory while working as a DevOps Engineer. My DevOps role already required scripting, automation and application-level insight, and the bachelor helped me further develop those skills through software engineering, backend development, Linux, web development and project work.
