Overview

  • ActieMIN supports people in need through food distribution and related assistance initiatives.
  • The project replaced parts of the existing Ninox-based workflow with Microsoft Power Platform components.
  • The full realisation was handled by a broad class team, with separate groups responsible for different functional areas.
  • Our ESF+ team focused on the Power Apps implementation for stock, product, reservation and distribution processes.

My contribution

  • Built and validated Power Apps screens.
  • Worked on SharePoint-backed data handling.
  • Implemented screen flows, forms and input validation.
  • Tested user flows and corrected issues during the realisation phase.
  • Prepared technical and user-facing handover material.

Outcome

  • Delivered screens for stock management, product lookup, product creation, stock updates and reservations.
  • Connected the app to SharePoint lists for operational data.
  • Configured access for the relevant project roles and users.
  • Delivered app packages, flow exports, SharePoint material and user/admin documentation.

Goal

  • Support the transition from Ninox to Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.
  • Create practical Power Apps support for stock, product and reservation workflows.
  • Use SharePoint lists as structured data sources.
  • Prepare the solution for use by volunteers and administrators.

Team context

This was a broad class-wide project for ActieMIN. My specific responsibility was the ESF+ Power Apps track, carried out with three other team members. Our work translated stock, product, reservation and distribution processes into usable Power Apps components and SharePoint-backed deliverables.

Approach

  • Mapped the ESF+ process requirements to app screens and data structures.
  • Divided the work across screens, forms, SharePoint lists, validation, testing and documentation.
  • Built and tested the app iteratively based on feedback and workflow requirements.
  • Prepared delivery material for final handover.

Artifacts

  • Screenshots of stock management, product management and reservation screens.
  • Power Apps editor screenshots showing screen structure and component tree.
  • SharePoint lists for product, stock and reservation data.
  • Power Automate flow exports, app packages and user/admin documentation.
